The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, arrived Beijing, on Tuesday, in continuation of his weeklong visit to China on the invitation of Chinese People’s Association for the Friendship with Foreign Countries.
This was disclosed by a statement from the Kano State Minister of Commerce, copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER Tuesday night.
According to the statement, the monarch, who was Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), will Wednesday meet the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister, HE Mr. Zhang Ming at the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry and visit an exhibition on the history of the Chinese People’s Association for the Friendship with Foreign Countries CPAFFC.
The Emir will also visit the People’s Bank China where he will meet with the Chinese State Leader who is also the governor of the bank. He will then visit the Nigerian Embassy.
On Thursday the Emir will meet with officials of China-Africa/Development Fund and later with China-Africa Business Council before he departs back to Nigeria.
The statement said, “His Highness has in all his meetings and interactions has been wooing investors to come and set up industries and other economic ventures in Kano in particular and Nigeria in general.
“He has been enlightening them on great potentials for investors where they can make money and help people get out of poverty.”
