Governor Matawalle nominates Muhammad Nasiha new Zamfara Deputy Governor

Following the impeachment Wednesday of the embattled Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Barr. Mahdi Aliyu Gusau, Governor Mohammed Bello Matawalle has nominated Senator Muhammad Hassan Nasiha as the new Deputy Governor to succeed him.

The DEFENDER, reporting a statement by Mustapha Jafaru Kaura, the Director General, Press Affairs and Public Relations to the Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly,  had reported that Mahdi Aliyu Gusau was impeached from his position as deputy governor on Wednesday.

However, at the resumed plenary, the speaker of the House, Nasiru Mua’zu, read a letter from the state Governor Bello Matawalle nominating Senator Muhammad as the deputy governor of Zamfara State.

Senator Hassan is representing Zamfara Central Senatorial district.
