BREAKING: Femi Gbajabiamila is Speaker of Nigeria’s 9th House of Reps
The Member representing Surulere I Federal Constituency in Lagos State on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Femi Gbajabiamila, has emerged Speaker of the Nigeria’s Federal House of Representatives.
Gbajabiamila, a Lawyer, was elected Speaker of the 9th Assembly on Tuesday on the floor of the Green Camber in National Assembly Complex, Abuja by the majority vote through the open ballot system as ordered by the court.
Recall Presidency through an interview with Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, had recently said that it had learned it’s lessons from the outgone Eighth National Assembly and that it would be interested in who became leader in the all-important arm of government as it inaugurated for the Ninth National Assembly.
President Buhari in walking the talk of the Presidency had not wasted any time in rallying support for the candidates he believed were choices of the Party he leads, the APC and the National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole had not minced words in telling that cared to listen that APC must have its control of government this time.
