He also recounted how the president, Bola Tinubu, who is a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), had described the twenty-seven lawmakers as his children and that it should no longer be an issue for negotiation.
Robinson Ewoh, chairman, governing council, Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, has shared his perspectives regarding the political crisis in Rivers State.
The tussle in the state followed the feud between the governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
And in the course of this, twenty-seven members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, said to be loyalists of the former governor Wike, defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
However, in the video, Robinson Ewoh stated that the seats of the defected lawmakers remain vacant in accordance with the Nigerian Constitution.
