The Commissioner of Police in the state, Bassey Ewah, described the raids as proactive measures aimed at sustaining law and order across Plateau.

He warned individuals or groups planning to disrupt public peace to desist, assuring that the command would deal decisively with anyone found culpable.

Ewah added that profiling of the suspects is ongoing, and investigations will determine their level of involvement in criminal activities. He said those found responsible will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.

To further strengthen security, the command said operational and intelligence personnel have been deployed to strategic locations across the state to boost police visibility and reassure residents.

The police also called on members of the public to support security efforts by providing timely and credible information to law enforcement agencies.
