2027: It’s all psychological warfare that won’t work, Onochie dismisses pro-Tinubu’s claims of INEC control
*Says "Dem No Fit", "We Will Give Them A Run For Their Money"

By OUR REPORTER, Abuja
“It’s Nothing But A Psychological Warfare Aimed At Discouraging Nigerians From Active Participation In the Democratic Processes In our Nation.”
An obviously leading light in the opposition coalition’s movement that African Democratic Congress (ADC) has represented, Lauretta Onochie, has responded boldly to comments circulating within the camp of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emboldening to sustain their confidence in why Tinubu’s will be unbeatable in the 2027 election.
Onochie’s response serves as a strong rebuttal to the claims that Tinubu has the election in the bag due to alleged control over electoral and security institutions.
She emphasized the importance of citizens actively participating in the democratic process and asserts that votes will count in the 2027 election.
This statement, it has been generally said, indicates a firm belief in the democratic principles and electoral integrity of the upcoming election, despite the intimidation tactics employed by the pro-Tinubu camp.
The DEFENDER reports that Onochie’s words reflect a commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process in Nigeria.
It will be recalled how pro-Tinubu’s public information agents have been heard loudly saying with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the judiciary, the military and the Nigerian Police under his control, how anybody can defeat him in the 2027 election remains a dream unrealisable.
But Onochie, Muhammadu Buhari’s unarguably one of very few most visible information firebrands as presidential aide on digital and social media, described such assertion as simply a renewed hope that will fetch the purveyors no other than disgraceful defeat in the end.
Speaking through a post on her verified Facebook page on Sunday September 7, 2025, the former Chairman Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) dismissed such assertion as mere rumour that won’t work.
“There’s A Rumour In Nigeria Being Peddled By Those Who Were Once Progressives But Now Celebrate Impunity and Lawlessness.
“They Are Bragging That INEC Will Rig The 2027 Presidential Election For Pres. Tinubu.
“Dem No Fit!
“There Will Be A New President In May, 2027. Votes Will Count in 2027 As In 2015.
“It’s Nothing But A Psychological Warfare Aimed At Discouraging Nigerians From Active Participation In the Democratic Processes In our Nation.
“We Will Give Them A Run For Their Money,” she diffused the pro-Tinubu’s claim.
