Obasanjo fails to deliver polling unit for Atiku as Buhari wins, floors PDP’s candidate in key bases of Atiku, Oyedepo, Bode George

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, believed to be the leading promoter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the Saturday 23 February 2019 election, has failed as All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, wins in his Abeokuta polling unit.

Obasanjo voted on Ward 11, Polling Unit 22, Olusomi Compound, Totoro, Abeokut North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

However, in the results counted by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials, the APC presidential candidate, Buhari, polled 87 votes to defeat Atiku, who got 18 votes.

As counting of votes in the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections begins, the All Progressives Congress (APC) made a huge show of strength at the polling unit of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

At Sokori Ward 22 Unit 11 where Obasanjo voted today, APC scored 81 votes while PDP got 18.

…Atiku in part lead at Aso Rock

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday defeated President Muhammadu Buhari in one of the two polling units located inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

There are two polling units in the seat power.

For PU 022 Atiku polled 525 against Buhari’s 465.

For the senatorial election, PDP won with 546 votes against APC’s 477.

For the House of Representatives, PDP won with 521 votes against APC’s 466.

There are still results of three voting points pending in the second polling unit, PU 021.

…Atiku lost own polling unit to Buhari in Adamawa

The All Progressives Congress candidate in the presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari, won in Ajiya Unit 12, Yola, Adamawa State, where the PDP’s candidate, Atiku Abubkar voted.

APC scored 187, while PDP got 167 in the 2019 presidential poll.

The Presidential Candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has lost his polling unit, Ajiya unit 02 in Gwadabawa Ward of Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa to President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC.

The Assistant Presiding Officer, Mr Abdulrasheed Mohammed, who announced the results, said a total of 365 votes were cast for the presidential election at the unit.

Similarly, the Senatorial candidate and House of Representatives candidates of the APC defeated their PDP counterparts at the unit.

Aishatu Dahiru the senatorial candidate of APC, got 185 votes to defeat Mohammed Chubado of PDP who got 120 votes, while APC House of Representative candidate scored 145 votes to defeat his PDP counterpart who got 121 votes.

…Buhari wins in Bode George’s Polling Unit

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday won the election in the polling unit of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s chieftain, Bode George.

George voted in his Ward E2, polling unit 001, in Oko-Faji, Lagos Island area and said the election was peaceful.

However when the results were announced by INEC officials, PDP lost the presidential election at the polling unit, scoring 40 while APC got 84 votes.

He condemned the alleged attacks on the agents of his party in some areas of Lagos, and called for an immediate investigation and arrest of suspected political thugs involved.

He said reports reaching him from Oshodi-Isolo and Okota showed that PDP supporters were harassed and disenfranchised, a development he described as unfortunate.
