Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country had exchanged draft documents on security guarantees with a number of countries.
“We need security guarantees from leading countries,” he said in an interview with Fox News, aired on Friday. “We would like the countries, who want it, to openly join the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Turkey.”
“I have just mentioned the countries, which have already expressed their readiness to become guarantor nations, or those whom we have already contacted and exchanged some earlier drafts on [security] guarantees,” the Ukrainian leader added.
Zelenskiy refused to answer to a question of whether he had ordered an attack on an oil depot in Western Russia’s Belgorod Region during an interview with.
“I do not discuss my orders as the commander-in-chief or the head of the state. There are things that I share only with the military,” he said.
On Friday morning, a fire broke out at a petroleum depot belonging to the Belgorodnefteprodukt company after helicopters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had carried out two airstrikes in Belgorod. No one was killed or injured in the incident.
Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin initiated an investigation into the airstrike. On Friday evening, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said that the blaze had been extinguished.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr r Zelenskiy said he achieved “some specificity” regarding Ukraine’s accession to the European Union during a meeting with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola in Kiev.
“We talked about ways to speed up Ukraine’s accession to the EU. There is some specificity,” Zelensky said in a video address on Saturday.
