Zamfara’s federal lawmaker empowers 3,290 constituents with N1.5b

Federal lawmaker representing Maru/Bungudu, Zamfara State at the House of Representatives Abuja, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, has flagged off the distribution of N1.5b financial assistance and grant, both in cash and in kind, to small scale traders and business enterprises.

Speaking during the flag off of the empowerments support programme at Bungudu town, the lawmaker reiterated his determination and commitment to improving the socio-economics wellbeing of his constituents.
He disclosed that the programme would cover all the 21 political wards of Maru and Bungudu with small scale traders and business enterprises as beneficiaries from women groups, youth to other stakeholders.
Zubairu further said 100 people were selected from each of the 21 political wards of Maru and Bungudu with women constituting significant number while the remaining balance would be special consideration for Maru and Bungudu as well as poultry farmers and other small scale cottage industries.
Scholarship were also presented to 100 less privilege students of high institution studying various courses.
Other items distributed include tailoring knitting machines and grinders.
Several politicians spoke during the flagging off of the program in praise of the programme.
