The Zamfara State Amirul Hajj for 2022 Hajj and Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasiru Ma’azu Magarya, has inspected Gusau Hajj Camp facilities to ascertain all are set for effective Hajj operations this year from the North West state.
Speaking to journalists, who covered the inspection visit, Alhaji Nasiru Ma’azu Magarya said his committee had made proper arrangements for ensuring successful hajj operation this year.
The Speaker commended Zamfara State Hajj Commission for renovating some of the buildings in the camp as well as sanitizing the entire camp premises for the smooth hajj operations.
Magarya added that he was so much impressed with the arrangement so far made by the commission both at home and Holy Land.
He charged the state intending pilgrims to co-operate with Amirul Hajj Committee and Zamfara State state Hajj Commission for the success of this year’s hajj exercise.
The places inspected by the Amirul Hajj were male and female screening centers, intending pilgrims awaiting rooms, clinic, BTA center, information center, mosque, standbye generators, and farewell ground where intending pilgrims are addressed before their departure to Sokoto.
Also speaking, the Executive Chairman Zamfara State Hajj Commission Alhaji Lawal Isah Abdullahi described the Amirul Hajj inspection as commendable.
Alhaji Lawal Isah Abdullahi said the commission was making consultation with the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) for additional hajj seats in addition of the one thousand three hundred and three already allocated for the state.
He then called on the intending pilgrims to assist the commission with prayers for it to succeed.
Shading more lights, the Former Hajj Commission boss and present Commissioner Ministry for Local Government Affairs Alhaji Abubakar Sarkin Fawa Dambo Jarman Bakura said this year’s hajj exercise will accord priority on every sector both at home and Holyland with a view to making the state pilgrims comportable.
The Amirul Hajj Alhaji Nasiru Ma’azu Magarya was accompanied by members of his committee Alhaji Abubakar Sarkin Fawa Dambo, His Royal Highness the Emir of Mafara Dr. Bello Muhammad Barmo, Malam Ahmad bin Umar Kanoma, State Women leader Hajiya Aisha Waziri Maru, committee’s Secretary Garba Ahmad and honorable Faruk Musa Dosara.
Others are Secretary Zamfara State Hajj Commission Alhaji Anas Shu’aibu Mafara, Permanent Commissioners Malam Sha’aibu Isah Mafara, Malam iliyasu Sa’adu Maradun, Malam Auwal Khamis, Alhaji Ali na Ango Yarkofoji, Alhaji Isah Maigemu all Commission’s Directors and staff among others.
