The Zamfara State Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has concluded arrangements to conduct fresh primary process to elect its governorship candidate.
The DEFENDER reports that the development became necessary due to nullification, by court, of the earlier primary election.
Speaking on the preparation for the event holding today, the state PDP Chairman, Dr Ahmad Sani Kaura, said “everything is set to conduct fresh governorship primary election in the state.”
He said PDP, as a law abiding party, would always obey court orders and, therefore, called on the party’s supporters to always abide by rules of the game for the party to succeed in forthcoming election in the state.
He said today’s primary election will follow all the rules and regulations provided in the constitution of PDP, in order to conduct hitch free primary acceptable to all aspirants.
