Zamfara govt to overhaul 60 senior secondary schools

The Zamfara State government has indicated its readiness to use the State Community and Social Development Agency in rehabilitating 60 senior secondary schools.

The move was part of the government’s effort to reposition the education sector in the state, Our Correspondent reports.

Zamfara State NG-Cares Co-ordinator, Muktar Ibrahim, revealed this through the Agency’s Public Relations Officer, Kabir Ibrahim Matanci, who said the government has directed the agency to make necessary arrangement for the immediate implementation of the project.

According to him, other projects designed to be carried out by Community and Social Development Agency were total overhauling of 19 health facilities, renovation of State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, and NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Tsafe, while roads construction will also be carried out through Fadama program that is one of the NG-CARES components.

This was said to be in line with the Dauda Lawal administration commitment to transform the State at all level.

According to the Agency Public Relations Officer, Malam Kabir Mayanci, the Agency under the leadership of Alhaji Umar Muhammad Na kwada has mobilized a team of its personnels to quantify the affected projects for immediate implementation.
