The eighth Senate is working on the basis of mutual trust and respect not on sentiments or emotions, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, representing Sokoto Central Senatorial District has stated.

”We are all there as Nigerians, to work in the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians. We are not working along tribal or religious inclinations,”he stressed.

The Senator was fielding questions from journalists, on Saturday, at his hometown, Wamakko, in Sokoto State after casting his vote in by- election for Wamakko/Kware Federal Constituency.

He stated efforts of the   tiers of government to deliver on their promises,and meet the aspirations and emotions of the people.

On the election, he noted:”The massive turn out is very encouraging.”

He expressed optimism that APC would emerge victories in the poll.

“We are going to win in a very big way, ” he asserted.

Wamakko added: ”Sokoto state is the home of  APC and it is one of the states that are still maintaining the standard as far as APC is concerned.”
