The other reason is because he will never allow your political leaders of choice to use the power that only him will account for constitutionally and with Allah to rig elections and steal public wealth in the name of Federal Might. You cannot succeed because Buhari and Buharists are innocent of your allegations. Go and get us a balanced list of your nepotism. We will consider it together. But with this one sided list, should our respect for you ethnic jingoists remain?”
An elderly friend in the United States of America made a post on his Facebook wall titled, “NAKED NEPOTISM WITH PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI IN THE SADDLE” and another friend living in Nigeria asked me to come and comment. He knows why he invited me. But I know the poster knew what he was doing, for such an intelligent man to make such a very highly despicable post that shows that there is no Southerner in the government headed by the Africa’s most powerful President.
In the list of appointees he posted to justify or prove his nepotism claim against the innocent Fulani President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, all are Northerners. Then, what is the cry about nepotism? I am a proud Yoruba prince of the South West but I will always face the truth and what is real. The list going round presents a picture that in Nigeria, only Northerners exist and can rule and no Southerner in the government. That was exactly what the post is saying and he is not alone at it. The people of my South West region who want to see President Buhari from the lens of a political leader they chose are running all manner of misrepresentations, twists, hate and falsehoods against the President on main and social media. They are now using the hashtag #ENDSARS protests as a vehicle to drive their hate against him and it is mainly for the fact that they are working mere shadow and figment of their own imagination.
This has been happening since President Muhammadu Buhari, refused to dance to the tune of those leaders of theirs in his governing All Progressives Congress (APC), against the rule of law (orders of courts), during the misdeeds leading the dissolution of National Working Committee (NWC) by National Executive Council (NEC) of the party in the State House, because he refused to be allowed to rig the September 19, 2020 Edo State governorship election for a candidate he was prosecuting for N700 million corruption case and other reasons best known to them and their political camp. The nepotism list was done for the fact that they needed to play on the vulnerability of the people because they knew that passing such DIVISIVE information, not many who got the first hand information will listen to the correction or refutation made to put record straight.
Therefore, this list that has been going round and which this poster has driven, knowing full well its adverse effect, is, in all honesty, wickedness and effort to join in the activities of those who divided Nigeria by their own opposition wickedness via their sponsored fake news all over the internet and still hang same blame on the sitting President. Do they not fear God enough to know that hypocrisy of this nature against peaceful President of one’s country has its consequences on their individual lives, immediate and extended families?
Well, I have decided to bring my response to that post, which was based on invitation by another friend, to this place for Nigerians and other reading public outside the country who have believed in my ability to address issues regardless of what leaning; ethnicity, religion or politics. And I am doing that here with consciousness of not going to mention names except when necessary.
I said:
I am commenting here not because of xxxxxxxxxxx, who invited me, but because of your reasonable response enlightening a poster that I believe should know more than everyone of us. Our brother xxxxxxxxx, who lives in America, has continued to baffle me but he calls it his choice. Anyway, choice is good. That is why God did not tell us in the Qur’an that he created a saint as human. Neither in the Bible. So, I hail xxxxxxx big way. However, one excuse that is not acceptable either to the sainthood or satanism is to always being fast to react and to news or information or acting on imbalance. xxxxx and xxxxxx, avowed Buharists until Edo election seeing Buhari would not favour the Do-or-Die (rigging) electioneering process of their political idol, have been engaging in minute-to-minute condemnation of President Muhammadu Buhari to the extent that what they were part of defending before they are now at the forefront of denigrating. At what point did these people started to see the nepotism which they themselves attacked Obasanjo about as untrue? Nigeria has six zones. These people particularly the poster TREATS THE SOUTH AS THREE ZONES but TREATS THE THREE ZONES OF THE NORTH AS ONE ZONE. That first and foremost negates the respect I can have for such doing. Two, therefore, the failure of him to also do us a favour by presenting the LIST OF APPOINTEES FROM SOUTH finally nails the coffin of the hypocrisy being taking too far. Now, why should I bother myself to worry about inexistent issue when I am not the only one watching or reading?
Allah never disappointed them who sincerely relates with him, no matter how unsaintly I can be. Two major favours my Lord has done for me is that 1. He strengthens my spirit in opposition to ethnic bias and religious intolerance. 2. He makes me to be able to identify the truth as truth and he helps me to follow the truth. So also he makes me to be able to identify falsehood as falsehood and so he assists me not only to hate but also distance myself from it. These are favours of my Lord which is making me stand out in anything I do and anywhere I find myself.
The Lord puts me in the midst of a race where majority of the people see themselves as the best of mankind whereas, a thorough check will prove them wrong. Because of this empty pride, they were on the lead at the start of Nigerianness but today, those they call Gambari (animal), the unschooled (although unequalled in intellect having largely the whole of Qur’an in their heads), the poorest in country, the North, have now overtaken them big way. Today, the man who designs for GMT models, a Muslim, is a Nigerian from Sokoto. They are unschooled. Today, the man who they all collect letters from Emirs to seek for one favour or the other is not only Muslim that had his business administration from Arabic speaking University in Egypt but also a Nigerian from Kano.
Today, not only that across their private universities in the South: from Obasanjo’s BELLS to Igbinedion, Northern students boost population of their learners bit also even as at three years ago, Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, produced 13 Female Doctors – they were all Southerners particularly from the South West of this poster and the man who invited me thinking he is ridiculing me. Sebi they want us to see why Hausa-Fulani are not human beings. But when they now come to see the facts I have stated here, they can tell us who between North and South is more human than the other.
Alhamdulillahi, to the bottom of my heart, both North and South are human beings. If we Southerners, now prominently South West don’t change our attitude from this despicably ungodly to better, if Jesus Christ (peace of Allah be upon him) comes to rule Nigeria, his administration will never favour the South. My race should be careful. Those that conspired against their respective prophets in the past went through either slowly hardship or outright destruction. I have seen what we do in the South as similar.
I give it to the South South and South East. Surprisingly they have a paradigm shift now which sees them being the more reasonable while the South being what they (East or South) used to be towards an administration headed by Muslim and Northerner. This I day because the rate at which heavy condemnation of President Buhari by the East and South used to be has gone drastically down. It then tells me that I am wrong saying the most tribalistic in Nigeria are the Igbo. But now, I am seeing myself as wrong. It means the Igbo, yes only deceiver does not have his bias, know what they want and when to start and when to stop.
Till today, the South West has the biggest largesse of government under Buhari but they are the ones who hate Buhari most. The unfortunate irony is that, they are now no longer PDP leaders or supporters but APC leaders and supporters who queue behind Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and are spreading hate and lies against the President across the region. The PDP here are enjoying it because they too need a helper.
So, why should I bother myself too much, if people like Abass and Adedoyin did like Christian Association of Nigeria once did in 2011 when they picked the names of only Christians killed in Ramadan when Boko Haram bombed the UN House Abuja and sent it to America to say BOKO HARAM BOMBED UN HOUSE KILLING CHRISTIANS making it look like the over 20 fasting Muslims killed were goats. For this poster to now collate only North appointees in Buhari’s Government and scream NEPOTISM, who knows how expensive it is to earn honour or quality people of the world. Apart from Donald Trump, who not only drags the name and power of America out of global respect, no one in America where this poster lives behaves this unfortunate manner. It pains.
So, finally, my candid advice to you that are involved in this unpopular behaviour circulating a list of only Northern Appointees in Buhari’s government and using it as evidence of their claim of nepotism, it is to say that you are indeed the ones dividing Nigeria and trying hard to hang it on the President. Your Baba in it, Obasanjo who is leading you to say Nigeria has never been this divided, we will always be fully in ground to ask you to give us a run down of his administration regarding unity. Under him, 500 Muslims were killed in Yelwa Shendam by His Beron sadist who claim to be Christians. They were buried in a mass grave midnight. Nigeria did not collapse. He brought an entire community of Odi down into ashes. He told abuses his office as President to tell us dead Abacha Loot but failed to tell us living Babangida Loot. He claimed Abacha achievements of GSM which the Regime using General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd) had started operating from wireless land lines to licensing Globacom for GSM a d the rest as if it was his own. Well, I live Nigerians. They said the only achievements of Obasanjo was GSM. ALLAHU AKBAR!
But we knew no Legislative Corruption until his time when gave N50 million each to Reps under Galli Na’Abba not to impeach him. His corruption peaked as he started giving several millions to lawmakers to get budget passed and without him being asked to account for budget implementation. Obasanjo, for his failing spirit, worked with how many Senate Presidents and Speakers of House Representatives? The same Lagos-Ibadan road xxxxxx, who invited me here, has tried to use to run Buhari down, was voted N300 billion by this same Obasanjo. Till he left in 2007, nothing was done. The place became a death trap. Worst he made coordinated expenses on National Constitutional Conference only to try to coerce delegates to insert THIRD TERM FOR HIM to be perpetrated in office. Another worst was then for him to bow know that he would not be able to remain in power and he went and deliberately imposed a sick Northerner at a time he knew was the turn of North to rule.
Everybody knew Yar’Adua was periodically on medical travel to Germany as Governor of Katsina State. But he was a fantastic governor and politician. Obasanjo knew his health challenges he put him knowing pressure of the office of President would quicken his death and so power would return indirectly to the South. That was to say South ruled for the first 16 years but I would be fair: South ruled for 14 of 16 first years of Fourth Republic.
For the 14 years of South, no disturbance until Yar’Adua came amidst and we saw militancy, MOSSOB for Biafra, etc. Boko Haram came because of action taken by Northern Yar’Adua in thought he did not want disturbance from his own region while solving the security situation in the South: “I am working on peace in the South. Is it this time my own Northern people should be doing protest? IGP Hafis Ringim, go and find out what happened.” Yar’Adua not correctly quoted said. Ringim sent overzealous police men who went to the protests in Borno State, opened fire and killed 800 protesters. All Nigerian media, NGOs and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) went blind. They didn’t see the rights of those protesters, who were armless at that time, being abused.
The police also killed their arrested leader Muhammed Yusuf in custody. That was how those people turned monsters but they had, however, always been extremists and Islam neither preached nor supported extremism. Be that at it may, Boko Haram came about. It is also the one reason I know police brutality must stop one day. That is history now.
But today, protesters who wanted to kill governors in Osun and Ekiti states and broken jail in Benin and have burnt 50 cars in Abuja and burning police stations in Edo and Lagos, we now have Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ohaneze, NGOs, lawyers human rights lawyers like Femi Falana (SAN) saying if President Buhari takes soldiers to the streets they will drag him to International Criminal Court. Which is to say they want Buhari to watch, while criminal protesters move to destabilize the country he leads and he is rendered useless. For the fear of ICC? This President is too patient for my liking.
But he is also right with his patience and coldness. Despite the killing of Muslim followers of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Makkah of the old, and the faithful wanting him to give them order to fight back, he restrained himself from getting angry to give such order or fight back, saying Allah had not instructed him to engage in any defensive fight. NIGERIA IS NOT MALI, these hate mongers of our clime need to know.
This is the same Obasanjo that xxxxx went on to declare as best President since 1999. And you have many of his same thinkers who believe so. Same Obasanjo who told Afenifere in 2019 to support him to remove Buhari from office at election saying all along he had been Hausa-Fulani stoge because they made him Head of State and President but that with Yoruba support he would change the Nigeria’s history and take power finally to the South.
I confronted an Afenifere member, a Church leader, who tried to convince me to accept the mission when he said something about Abacha and I called Major Hamzah Al-Mustapha right in his presence and Al-Mustapha told us on phone (I used my Airtel line) that he has challenged Obasanjo and Afenifere leaders to feature with him on national television and that what they did to MKO and Nigeria he would ask them questions and the world would know.
The Baba threw tantrums asking me to give him the phone that was already on speaker. Does he want to break my phone or what? When the Baba now heard that I am Alhaji Kola Animasaun’s godson he calmed down saying “RESPECT’. KAI! Yoruba! Afenifere!! Obasanjo!!!
