Self-acclaimed Yoruba tribalist fighter, Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a. Sunday Igboho, is captured in a video to have boasted that he cannot be intimidated or arrested by security agents in Nigeria.

Igboho, in the video believed to have been shot earlier before the joint security operatives raid on his home, displayed confidence in his black power of charms that  if 1,000 policemen come to his house in Ibadan to arrest him, hardly will 100 of them return to their base alive.

According to him, if a hundred of the 1,000 policemen manage to escape his judgment, it might be that they disappear spiritually.

Sunday Igboho, who spoke in Yoruba, said: “If you want to come to arrest me, I live in Soka. Be sure you come with a net or wheelbarrow. But don’t come at night. If you come at night, if you are up to 1,000 and 100 of you return alive, it means they use spiritual powers if disappearance. I am not the type that you can use police to intimidate,” Sunday Igboho boasted in the video.

The DEFENDER reports that Sunday Igboho had early Thursday announced invasion of his home by unknown gunmen house, killing two of his aides.

The Department of State Services (DSS) later held a press conference during which what Igboho called attack in his home was clarified to actually be a raid based intelligence that he was stockpiling weapons to cause violence within the South West region.

The DSS also gave even details that Igboho avoided that is the arrest of 13 of his armed guards including a woman, who opened fire on the security agents upon sighting sighting them to stop them from gaining entry into the compound.

The secret service paraded the 13 persons while also displaying a cache of weapons recovered from his residence in Soka, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital during the raid.

Although he boasted in the video – just emerging – that if 1,000-number security team come to arrest him at night they will not return alive, Sunday Igboho failed to live up to his boast Thursday 1 July as he escaped during the gun battle put up by his armed guards, against the security operatives, and which lasted for an hour.

He has since then been on the run only to be talking from hiding and the DSS has, in the meantime, advised him to surrender himself to any security agency or he will be tracked and smoked out.

Five AK-47 assault rifles and three pump action guns, among others, were recovered from his house during the night raid and they were all displayed along with the arrested 13 who were paraded.

Speaking from his hiding, the “all-charms-fortified Sunday Igboho”,  denied being in possession of firearms and ammunition displayed by DSS, saying he only uses black powers.

Suddenly, some images started appearing on social media barely 72 hours after the DSS parade and arrest of the members and weapons, respectively, impressing that the weapons being shown in picture were of images of 2013, according to Igboho aides.

The claims, “ostensibly orchestrated to incite the public against the DSS”, have been neutralised as fake.

TheCable said afterward that its checks with Facebook showed that there were no such images as posted by Igboho’s footsoldiers on its records before 1 July 2021, last Thursday, precisely.

In a report by The DEFENDER on Sunday, Sunday Igboho was advised to be what he claims to be by coming out of his hiding and surrendering himself to the security agency.
