A video has emerged online showing a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, welcoming former Vice President and Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on his return to Nigeria via Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, Friday night.

The video, with voice of a lady sounding surprised, was watched by The DEFENDER, but the online newspaper, considering what video on social media can be, believes that further investigations need to be carried out to ascertain the authenticity and context of what happened as shown in it.

In the meantime, the video has sent jitters to several persons in the political circle over permutations ahead of the 2023 presidential election in the country.

According to a TNG report, an APC chieftain disclosed under condition of anonymity that his phone had been buzzing endlessly over the said video.

“I have received several calls on this trending video and I am as confused as several persons who have been calling me for answers on the video,” he said.

The video was also posted on the Twitter handle of Reno Omkri, aide of former president, Goodluck Jonathan, who is also a usual face of fake news on social media in the country.
