Washington will continue to provide weapons to Kiev but the United States is not attacking Russia in the Ukraine standoff, US President Joe Biden said at the White House on Thursday.

“Despite the disturbing rhetoric coming out of the Kremlin, the facts are plain for everybody to see. We are not attacking Russia, we’re helping Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression,” he pointed out.

Biden made it clear that the US would continue to provide weapons to Ukraine as long as Russia was conducting its military operation.

“As long as assaults and atrocities continue, we’re going to supply military assistance,” he said, adding: “We’ve moved weapons and equipment to Ukraine at a record speed.”
