Urhobo Progress Union hosts convention in Toronto

The Urhobo Progress Union of Canada convention is holding the 2nd national convention come Friday 28th through 30th June 2024.

This years event will be held at the Delta Hotel by Marriot event centre CS 409, Queen Deluxei CS209.

The 2nd national convention was announced by Chief Mudiaga Akpocha, Chairman of the event, in a statement made available by Evelyn Obos, the Publicity chairperson.

According to the statement, the convention will be featuring, donation of equipment to hospitals in Nigeria, acquisition of Urhobo House and distribution of packs of educational materials.

According to the release, copy of which was made available to The DEFENDER on Saturday, lectures will be presented by great Urhobo intellectuals while performance of cultural activity will also be on display.

The event publicity chairperson said the reservation could be gotten from Sheraton Reservation 0.85km from the event standard room CS 200.
