Authentic sources from the war-torn Ukraine Saturday evening said President Volodymyr Zelenskiy had now declared his readiness to negotiate with President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

This was coming after it was clean clear that the unstoppable Russian forces, who in day 17 continued to strike shelling from the air, the land and the sea, have finally had their way in as heavy bombing sounds were heard in the nation’s capital Kyiv.

The DEFENDER reports that in his latest address, the Ukrainian President said that he was now open to negotiation with Russia, although, according to him, Ukrainian forces will have to continue fighting against Russian troops.

For the first time President Zelenskiy said about 1,300 Ukrainian troops have died so far and so, according to him, he is now ready to negotiate with Russia.

Information by the source has, however, been confirmed in an official statement by Ukrainian top diplomat saying his country was ready to negotiate to end the war, but would not surrender or accept any ultimatums.

The diplomat, Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytry Kuleba, who had earlier on Thursday March 10 failed to reach compromise with his Russian counterpart at the diplomatic forum in Antalya, Turkey, said would continue though.

“We will continue to fight. We are ready to negotiate but we are not going to accept any ultimatums and surrender”, Kuleba said, adding that Russia was putting forward demands that were “unacceptable”.

Russia’s demands from the beginning have been made clear to the world particularly Ukraine, that the neighbouring country must cancel its plans to join NATO, that United States-led NATO will not expands east ward and that agreement on what attitude should be on that axis be obeyed.

Speaking Saturday at a virtual event organised by the non-partisan, nonprofit organisation Renew Democracy Initiative, Kuleba also said civilian lives would be saved if Ukraine had fighter jets and more attack planes to destroy large military columns.

Turkey has continued to insist on doing everything within its power to ensure peace between Russia and Ukraine,as its President Recep Tayyib Erdogan never hid his distate for Moscow’s mission in Ukraine although declined to be part of western sanctions against Russia.

China also has been consistent with his refusal to accept Western description of what is going on in Ukraine as invasion. Moscow calls it a necessitated ‘special military operation’ and Beijing, China’s seat of power, believes and agrees with it.

China is however keeping close watch on what is going in Ukraine, even as it remains stronger by the day on his opposition to unprecedented economic sanctions done by western nations at the prompting of the United States of America.

Whereas Russia is at the receiving end of the sanctions, United States is already bearing the brunt with record inflation ravaging its economic life system currently and US President Joe Biden has shown no disdain to admit that the economic situation in his country is blamable on war in Ukraine and western economic sanctions against Russia.

The space station could also be affected as, due to sanctions against Russia the space authorities in Moscow said, it can fall either on the sea or land soon and then asked for the sanctions to be lifted.

Moscow said Saturday that there was no talk between it and America on Ukraine.

Instead of talking about ways to stop the war and save lives, Biden went ahead Saturday to authorise another $200 million he claimed is for in new weapons, military training for Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden authorised did this and the White House has confirmed it.

The decision brings total US security aid provided to Ukraine over the past year to $1.2 billion, according to a senior administration official.

The funds can be used for weapons and other defence items from the Defence Department’s stock, as well as military education and training to help Ukraine.

Ukraine’s President Vladimir Zelenskiy been reported earlier to have said about 1,300 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed since the Russia’s military operations started.

Ukraine’s claims, which never said it lost a single soldier, have always been about civillians especially women and children being killed by Russian troops in their air strikes and based on the Ukraine’s claims those who have gathered human rights materials have spoken.

But Moscow persistently denied targeting civillians but military facilities in its quest to destroy the military strength of the neighbouring country.

Russia, however, accused Ukrainian forces of deliberately targeting their own civillian population and looting them to establish human rights and war crimes cases against Russian President Vladimir Putin at the International Criminal Court (ICC). The first such cases filed by President Zelenskiy praying the court to reign in on Putin to withdraw troops from Ukraine, Putin expectedly refused to be represented vowing not to be part of any such court hearing.

ICC is believed generally to be for the protection of Western interest only and nothing more. Instances were given in US President George W. Bush Jnr refusal to obey its summon when it became clear that his United States-led NATO invasion of Iraq on claim of finding Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) was done without evidence.

The DEFENDER gathered 1.5 million children were killed by America led NATO during the invasion of Iraq, which was discovered to have been done based on misinformation by Israel although Israel itself, as established by international politics analysts, has breached more than United Nations rules and, rather than being moved against by America and its allies, they continue to defend even its daily invasion, killing and occupation of Palestinian territory.

Further evidence about America’s double standard and what Putin describes as “Western hypocrisy” is that, under controversial Donald Trump, Israel encroached on the territory of Palestine, reigned gun attacks on worshippers in Islam’s Third Holy Mosque, Aqsa, in Jerusalem, United States of America, which watched the situation as it lasted, went and built its Embassy on the Jerusalem soul after the Israeli troops committed genocide.

Neither America nor Israel has been deemed fit to be questioned for those genocides around the world by ICC, reason, analysts said the ICC has lost its respect of world but mere court for the West.

Russia targets West’s weapons shipments

The space station could also be affected as, due to sanctions against Russia the space authorities in Moscow said, it can fall either on the sea or land soon and then asked for the sanctions to be lifted.

Moscow said Saturday that there was no talk between it and America on Ukraine.

In the meantime, Moscow has said that arms shipments to Ukraine will now be ‘legitimate targets’, as Russia intensifies attacks near Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

This was as fighting raged northwest of Kyiv, with the bulk of Russian ground forces 25km (16 miles) from the centre of the Ukrainian capital.

Russia said its troops could target supplies of Western weapons in Ukraine.

French Presidency had also expressed concern that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not show a willingness to end the war during a call with the French and German leaders.
