UN Security Council calls on countries to settle disputes peacefully

The United Nations Security Council has called on countries to settle disputes peacefully, according to the body’s first statement on Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation.

“The Security Council recalls that all Member States have undertaken, under the Charter of the United Nations, the obligation to settle their international disputes by peaceful means,” reads the statement that was passed on Friday.
