The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)has dismissed as rumour, information that Umrah suspension has been extended to April 15, 2020.

It said, according to a post by Haramain Sharifain on Tuesday, that there is no timeframe for the ban, which became necessary as a result of outbreak of dangerous disease called Voronavirus.

“Rumours of the Umrah suspension being extended to April 2020 are NOT TRUE, authorities confirm that there is no timeframe of this ban.

“The Hajj Ministry of Saudi Arabia requests all to take news from official sources regarding the virus and subsequent Umrah ban,” the post said.

New hand sanitizer installed provided at the entrances of Mosjid Al Haram due to Coronavirus outbreak.

In the meantime, information reaching The DEFENDER has it that new hand sanitisers have been provided by the General Presidency of Haramain at the entrances of Masjid Al Haram, expectedly in Makkah and Madinah, due to the corona virus outbreak.

Sheikh Al Sudais chaired a special advisory committee yesterday whose agenda was “Preventive measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus”
