ULEFUNTA 2021: Akure Kingdom kick-starts events with visit to media houses

The all-important Akure Kingdom’s Ulefunta Festival has commenced.

The event, which has its focal point as Deji’s seclusion for seven days, kickstarted Monday 6 September 2021 with a media tour that will take the Central Planning Committee round some media houses in the Ondo State capital and its environs.

Led by Chairman, Central Planning Committee, Barr. Kehinde Ige, the media tour took members including former Chairman, Ulefunta Central Committee 2019, Prince Bisi Adeniyi, Secretary, of the committee and former Ondo State Commissioner for Physical Planning, Pharmacist Ibikunle Ashaolu, Secretary, Ulefunta Lecture Committee 2021, Alhaji Jimoh Ibrahim, among others, to the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC Group), Orita Obele, and the Adaba FM Station.

According to the committee, which said, “We are on course”, tomorrow’s media tour will take its turn with NTA, Radio Nigeria’s Positive FM and Breeze FM.

In the meantime, this year’s Ulefunta Festival will be climaxed with the Annual Public Lecture that will see the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), pay a two-day official visit to Ondo State between Thursday 7 and 8 October, 2021 as Guest Lecturer.
