The Executive Chairman, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Chief Godwin Adode JP, has presented security patrol vehicles to the seven clans in the council area namely; Ughelli, Agbarho, Uwheru, Orogun, Agbarha, Evwreni and Ogor.
In the same vein, he presented a security vehicle to the Nigerian Police Force and an operational vehicle to the Ughelli North Legislative Arm.
Thereafter, he unveiled uniforms for the newly established vigilante outfit he donated to the communities few weeks ago.
While presenting the operational vehicles, Hon. Adode said, “As the Chief Security Officer of the local government, donating the patrol vehicles is paramount, to curb the rate of crimes and criminality in every nooks and crannies of the local government”.
Speaking further, he noted that donation of the vehicles was also part of his electioneering promises when aspiring for his second tenure in office, to ensure the provision of the necessary logistics to assist the security personnel for effective productivity.
“The security of lives and properties of my people is my utmost priority, the provision of these security patrol vehicles will to a large extent, reduce the crimes and criminality in the area”, Hon. Adode asserted.
Therefore, he called for a stronger synergy between the security agencies, the local government vigilante services and relevant community stakeholders in the local government area, emphasizing that the security of lives and properties is a collective responsibility.
Furthermore, he thanked the Executive Governor of Delta State; His Excellency, Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa for his developmental strides of three points Agenda with emphasis on security for the protection of lives and properties of its citizens in the local government.
While receiving operational vehicles from the Council Chairman, the President General (PG) of the Great Ughelli Kingdom; Chief Pius Omubaye, who spoke on behalf of other President Generals, commended Hon. Adode for his numerous support to the communities across the local government, especially in the area of security, describing the donation of a security patrol vehicles from the local government as first of its kind.
He assured they are going to utilize and reciprocate the support from the local government council by improving on the achievements of the council chairman in the area of security of lives and properties across Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Highpoint of the event was the commissioning of the security patrol vehicles by His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa ably represented by Chief Godwin Ogadi; Special Adviser on Special Duties.

Hon. James Efenedo, President Generals of kingdoms in Ughelli North, Heads of Security Agencies, Heads of Local Government Vigilantes among others.
