A group which goes by the aegis, Kaduna State APC Business Women Support Group has called for the expulsion of Malam Uba Sani from the party.
The group made the call in a statement jointly signed by its President, Hajia Salamatu Ibrahim and its Secretary, Mrs Vicky Achi, made available on Thursday.
In the statement titled, “A call on APC National Leadership to expel Uba Sani now before he destroys our Party”, the group alleged that Uba Sani was bent on destroying the party before heading back to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“We were very shocked and embarrassed when news filtered that an aide to Gov. Nasir el-Rufai, one Uba Sani, in contravention of Article 21 Section 54 subsection (v) of the APC constitution, filled a court case against our great party the All Progressive Congresses APC with our dear National chairman, Com Adams Oshiomole as a co-defendant.
“It is rather unfortunate that a person whom the APC is assisting to rehabilitate his political career can turn against us in this manner.
“Just to refresh our minds, Uba Sani was among those in the PDP who championed Obasanjo’s third term agenda. Back then, he and his cronies spent huge sums of money to rig elections in favor of the PDP against President Muhammadu Buhari.
“He was among those who made ridicule of Buhari and swore that the ex army general will never rule this country.
“When eventually Buhari wrestled power from the PDP, Uba Sani became stranded in political wilderness. Thereafter, his ally from their days in PDP, Nasir el-Rufai who had rode on the back of Buhari’s popularity to become the Governor of Kaduna State sneaked Uba Sani into the APC through the back door.
“Some of us who knew Uba Sani’s mischievous tendencies complained, but were prevailed upon by some colleagues to give him a second chance.
“And here we are today, the leopard is still with its spots. Serving ministers and former senators were disqualified by our party during the screening of candidates.
“They all either left quietly or looked for redress in respectable manners. So for an ordinary special assistant to a state governor to take our great party and her leadership to court, in violation of our party constitution, just because he was found unworthy to fly our great party’s flag, one does not need an oracle to know that he is up to something sinister.
“It is apparent that Uba Sani has started to implement his long term plan of destabilizing our great party before he goes back to his old home, the PDP.
“This same individual was fingered as being responsible for the unending crises in the Kaduna state APC by sponsoring media and physical attacks on many respected party faithfuls, which led to most of his victims abandoning the party to pursue their political careers elsewhere.
“He was also said to be the one behind the numerous attacks perpetrated against Senator Shehu Sani and his interests.
“In view of this, we are calling upon the leadership of our great party to EXPEL Uba Sani from the APC with immediate effect.
” His continued stay in the party can only lead to more chaos and disharmony. Let him go back to the PDP where he rightly belongs as the APC have no place for miscreants like him.
“We hope our party will act fast. As a stitch on time, they say, saves nine.
