UAE “moans” about illegal Strait of Hormuz tolls but it has only itself to blame!

By LIM TEAN

Iran made it clear long before the war erupted that if it was attacked by America, it would view it as an existential fight to the death for the survival of the Iranian nation. In an existential struggle, you employ every means possible to survive and defeat the enemy…

Many countries including the UAE are now climbing on their high horses and preaching “principles” – that it is wrong for Iran to impose tolls on passing ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

I have absolutely no sympathy for the UAE.

This stooge of Israel was egging on the Americans to attack Iran. Even during the war, it wanted America to carry on fighting and “finish off” the Iranians. And yesterday, it physically entered the war and its Mirage fighter jets bombed Iranian oil infrastructure in the Persian Gulf.

Iran made it clear long before the war erupted that if it was attacked by America, it would view it as an existential fight to the death for the survival of the Iranian nation. In an existential struggle, you employ every means possible to survive and defeat the enemy, even if it means strangling the world’s most important chokepoint. Why did those nations, who now preach from their high horses about “principles”, not warn Trump off attacking Iran, when Tulsi Gabbard, the CIA and the collective American intelligence agencies-18 of them in total, all concluded that Iran did not have a nuclear weapons program.

No, everyone went along with the Americans cheering Uncle Sam on, and believing that the Americans would deliver “shock and awe” and decimate the Iranians. Five weeks later many eggs have fallen on these countries’ faces and you have one giant omelette.

Wars, like elections, have consequences. The victors write the rules. And America has been humiliated and has conclusively lost this war. It is in no position, even if it now is able to cobble together other countries into a coalition, to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and pry it away from Iranian control.

The Americans are desperate for a peace plan and they will stay in Islamabad for however long it takes to reach a deal with the Iranians. And the final agreement will very much reflect the Iranian 10 point proposal, which includes Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz and the imposition of tolls on passing ships. More pragmatic nations such as South Korea have already sent special envoys to negotiate with the Iranians for safe passage of their vessels. They are willing to pay the tolls.

If I am the Iranians, I will punish the UAE and not allow vessels carrying their oil or other cargoes, except food, to pass through the Strait. Let them reflect on whether the Americans and the Zionist regime can save them.
