Is Truck not personal business?
Where are those telling us that government should not invest in ranching because it’s personal business?
Why should government build parks for private individuals to park their trucks?
Why are people blaming Ambode and FG for Apapa gridlock? Does the truck belong to government or individuals?
Truck drivers have shut down the economy of Lagos and Nigeria because they have no park?
Lagos Apapa gridlock opened a new chapter in our National hypocrisy.
The argument of Lagos FRSC officer on Channels television is that trucking is a personal business. You don’t buy a truck if you don’t have a park.
The argument of truck owners is that Lagos state government should provide them a park where they can park and pay!
Those pontificating that herding is a personal business hence government have no business establishing ranches should say so to truck drivers.
Government exist for single reason of intervention and regulation. Government must invest in every sector of the economy to avert break down of law and order.
We need parks
We need ranches.
They are viable sources of revenue if well managed.
