My buddy and new media influencer, Thomas Etuk a.k.a Consult Tee is the crooner of the Top 20 Recognitions or Entries, which he has made his franchise on Facebook.
I beg the indulgence as I move to submit top 20 things, the incoming Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno will do when he finally gets sworn into office.
1. Umo Eno will manage the ethnic diversity in Akwa Ibom State. No ethnic nationality will be left behind.
2. Umo Eno will be unconventional in his approach to Governance. He will be a Pastor to his people and operate like a true shepherd. He will be a leader and not a ruler.
3. Pastor Umo Eno’s unorthodox style inspires his emphasis on Rural Development. Our communities will become as attractive to reside in and do business as the urban centres.
4. Umo Eno will listen to the people. He is a great listener and can hear even the unspoken petitions of the people. Whenever the people call with superior argument, he will hear them.
5. Umo Eno will not compromise quality service delivery. He will not condone mediocrity. That will not be his definition of political correctness. Any appointee who can’t interpret the ARISE Agenda will have no business in the administration.
6. Umo Eno will prioritize security of lives and property. There will be zero tolerance for insecurity and threats to peace in any guise.
7. Non-indigenous residents will find the traditional hospitality of Akwa Ibom State reinforced as Umo Eno will run a policy of assimilation and political Inclusiveness. He is a man of all nations.
8. Umo Eno is not just the most Preferred by accident of fate. He is in principle the most prepared among contender’s who were vying for the Office of Governor in Akwa Ibom State in this electoral cycle.
9. Umo Eno is the safest plug for continuity which is important where a template of good governance has already been established. He will connect the dots of development, consolidate the gains and expand the gains of democracy dividends.
10. Umo Eno will as a leader do justice to all manner of people irrespective of their ethnicity, religion, gender, political and ideological persuasion.
11. Umo Eno will temper his politics with morality. He is a man of good character
and has the courage to do the right thing because it is morally right to do so. He will be just, fair but firm.
12. Umo Eno will neither display insensitivity nor pursue political vendetta. Those traits are not hallmarks of great leadership. He will not leave any community behind.
13. Umo Eno will not condone fiscal rascality or irresponsibility in running Government business. He shall ensure corporate governance guided by due process is institutionalized.
14. Umo Eno will build his administration on trust, transparency, integrity and accountability.
15. Umo Eno will support businesses, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and will be deliberate at fostering entrepreneurship.
16. Umo Eno will reposition the youths who are looking for a messianic lift from their despair and fading dreams. Women will be supported and female youths will be carried along.
17. Umo Eno will revolutionise agriculture with his proposed strategy of introducing one-stop farm settlement estates, extension services and mechanised, commercial farming.
18. Umo Eno will revitalize the Akwa Ibom Hospitality industry and reconstruct her rich tourism attractions. He will make tourism a major revenue source for the beautiful State of Akwa Ibom.
19. Umo Eno will rejig the Education system and pursue the advancement of this sub sector with panache. Student’s in Akwa Ibom will feel the pulse and goodwill of Government.
20. Umo Eno will take infrastructural expansion to the rural, sub urban and hinterland communities. He will work to stem rural Urban migrations.
Are you now whining or doubting? Are you asking how I know and if I’m God?
Don’t stress yourself. I have listened to Pastor Umo Eno sell his blueprint, agenda and manifesto since January 30, 2022 after his unveiling.
