“He will return to the country in the first week of February 2024,” the statement said.

The president was in France for a world leaders summit in Paris last year in June and travelled to London from the summit on a private visit.

Mr Tinubu travelled last November to India for the G20 Summit and to Germany for the Compact with Africa summit in Berlin. He was also in Saudi Arabia for the Arab Africa Summit.

He was at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States, in September.

In the last week, Mr Tinubu hosted the U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, welcoming a delegation from Chevron Corporation, holding discussions with traditional rulers from the South-South region, and meeting with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
