*Your cry not now, Abia Senator replied

Tuesday’s invasion of Abayi Police Station by suspected Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) terrorists have drawn the attention of Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who condemns in unreserved terms the destruction of the police station in Aba, Abia State.

Senator Abaribe, in a statement released in Abuja by his Media Adviser, Uchenna Awom, also lamented the reported killing of two policemen in the mayhem.

The lawmaker called on the police and other security agencies to quickly apprehend perpetrators of the heinous crime and ensure that the full weight of the law is applied to bring them to justice.

Senator Abaribe, who was shocked by the unwarranted attack, said resort to violence of such magnitude by the “hoodlums” is unprecedented, most heart rendering and must be stopped immediately.

“I do not think there is any reason whatsoever, that could warrant this animalistic resort to killings, destructions or violence in any form.

“Most condemnable by every discerning mind is the dangerous affront at every turn on the lives of our police officers and security agents, who toil, go through most horrendous and excruciating experience everyday for the safety of lives and properties of Nigerians.

“I am pained by this dastardly act and I urge the security agencies to apply all available resources to bring the hoodlums to justice”, he said.

In the meantime, Abaribe has condoled with the officers and men of the Abia State Police command over the unfortunate incident.

Although Aberibe called the killers hoodlums, The DEFENDER impeccable source said “there are no other threats to security in Abia State in recent times till now other than IPOB. So, for a senator, who aided the release and escape of leader of these terrorists to Israel and now Europe, to reduce the weight of what happened to ‘hoodlums’ is to generalise to mislead security agencies and the armed forces.

“Asides Abaribe, other Nigrians who must answer questions over IPOB are political Yoruba figures namely Ayodele Fayose and Femi Fani-Kayode who stood their grounds to frustrate President Muhammadu Buhari effort to tame the terrorism of the ethnic group before it grew wings. Why is Abaribe now crying woes let me he cares? His cry is not yet ripe to start,” he asked.

Sadly, officers and personnel across the security agencies and armed forces have been at the receiving end of IPOB terrorist killing and other attacks since Nnamdi Kanu started his dangerous and violent secessionist war using his own home state of Abia as headquarters and using Biafra Radio in collaboration with local media as propaganda instruments.

The DEFENDER reports that while DSS and police officers are not left out as victims of these arms-bearing terrorist group, the Nigerian Army recently lost four soldiers on escort assignment to the evil ethnic war inciting group.
