Sultan receives newly turbaned traditional rulers from Bauchi State

His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, mni, the Sultan of Sokoto, on Monday September 28, 2026, received a delegation of newly turbaned traditional rulers from Bauchi State who paid a courtesy visit to his palace in Sokoto.
The delegation, led by the Emir of Duguri, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, comprised the Emir of Gamawa, Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Adamu; Emir of Danbam, Alhaji Idris Bappah Musa; and Emir of Darazo, Alhaji Ibrahim Babayo Bababa.
The visit provided the traditional rulers with an opportunity to pay homage to the Sultan and seek his prayers and blessings as they assume their responsibilities as custodians of their respective traditional institutions.
The Sultan welcomed the new Emirs to his palace and expressed appreciation for their visit.
He wished them wisdom, peace and success in the discharge of their responsibilities, while encouraging them to uphold the values of unity, mutual respect and service to their communities.

The Sultan was accompanied by the Wazirin Sokoto, Prof. Sambo Wali; Magajin Rafin Sokoto, Alhaji Rilwanu Bello; Galadiman Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Aliyu Attahiru Galadanchi; Sa’in Kilgori, Alhaji Muhammad Jabbi Kilgori; and Secretary of the Sultanate Council, Alhaji Saidu Maccido.
