Sultan receives AIG Muhammad Mustafa, urges tackling of security challenges

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, Tuesday, called for holistic approach to tackling security challenges in the country.

The Sultan made this call while playing host to the Assistant Inspector –General of Police (AIG), Zone 10, Alhaji Muhammad Musatafa who paid him a courtesy visit in his palace.

The Sultan, himself a retired General of the Nigerian Army, has always been on the side of peace, security and progress as he is generally noted to be a unifying factor across tribes and religions in the country.

He told his visitor that all efforts should be taken to ensure an end to the problem of bandits in the zone.

AIG Mustafa, whose zone 10 command covers three states of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara, promised the monarch of his commitment to the peace of the zone especially in ensuring that he gets all the three state commissioners of police under him to work.

Alhaji Muhammad Mustafa had been Commissioner of Police in Jigawa State, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Loui’s Edet House Abuja, Delta and Ebonyi states under his recent promotion and posting as AIG in charge of Zone 10 under the new police leadership of Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Abubakar Muhammad Adamu.
