The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Obantoko, in Adatan Area Command, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, Alimeke Ignatus, has been allegedly attacked and stabbed by cultists believed to be students of two public secondary schools in the state.

Ignatus, a Superintendent of Police, was said to have been stabbed, following a quick response by him and his team to a distress call over a cult fight between students of Asero High School and Egba High School, both of which are located in Abeokuta.

When called by The DEFENDER, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, requested he was called back as he was busy.

He was, however, sent a text mention to comment on the cultist attack on the DPO, which is yet to be responded to as at time of filing this report.
