South West Arewa Group visits APC Chairman, Ganduje, in Abuja

The Arewa Support Movement in South West led a delegation of Arewa Community of Lagos State in a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, in Abuja on Friday.

Leading the delegation was the Galadiman Fulani of Lagos State, Alhaji Aliyu Bambado, accompanied by Chairman Board of Trustees Arewa Community in Lagos State, Alhaji Yabo Dandama, and other notable traditional leaders, politicians, market leaders, businessmen, professionals, women leaders as well as youth leaders during the visit.

 

The Lagos Arewa Community leaders paid the visit in felicitation with the Grand Patron of the Arewa Support Movement, Dr. Abdullai Umar Ganduju, who recently emerged the National Chairman of the rulling APC.

Dr. Ganduje, assisted by National Working Committee (NWC) members, received the visitors at the National Secretariat of the APC.

Presentations on behalf of the movement were made by Alhaji Aliyu Bambado with several cobtributions from Alhaji Saadu Gulma Yussuf, Chairman, Arewa Community APC Lagos State, Alhaji Mohammed Maikano Lawal, DG Arewa Support Movement, and Alhaji Shehu Usman, Chairman Mile 12 International Market, Lagos.

The speakers, in their seperate remarks, applauded the APC National Chairman on his leadership role in stabilising the polity, unity and chieftaincy of Arewa Community in Lagos, while reminding him of the major role played by the Arewa Community in Lagos during the just concluded elections that earned the APC victory at the state and Federal levels.

“In this regards, an appeal was made to the National Chairman to consider the Arewa Community both at the Federal and State levels for Appointments, Employment for our youths, empowerment for our women and the general welfare of our people,” Comrade Usman Tijani, Secretary, Arewa Support Movement, Lagos/South West Nigeria said in a statement after the meeting.

In his response, the National Chairman applauded and thanked the movement for the huge support during the just concluded elections and assured the leades that all their demands will be attended to and given favourable response.

This, he said, was because “we have a listening President who considers the plight of his people with all sence of seriousness and also Governor Babajide Sanwoolu who is a detribalised person that have so much love for the Arewa Communiy in Lagos,” Tijani said.

Gifts were presented by the DG Arewa Support Movement to Ganduja before their departure.
