Shettima of Okuta Emirate, Arowona, visits newly installed Oloro of Oro
The Shettima of Okuta Emirate, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, has rejoiced with His Royal Majesty, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye on his well-deserved appointment as the new Oloro of Oro Kingdom.
He expressed his delight over the Titiloye’s emergence and enthronement to the revered stool of Oro Kingdom, stressing that, “We thank God for the grace of making you a King.”
Arowona stated this when he paid homage to the new Oloro on Saturday.
According to him, “It is not a gainsaying that your wealth of experience, wisdom, and leadership skills make you an exemplary choice for this revered position and I am confident that your ascension to the throne will mark a new era of peace, progress, and prosperity for our beloved kingdom, fostering unity and cultural heritage.”
He prayed that his reign will usher in transformative development, foster unity, and strengthen cultural heritage in Oro Kingdom and Kwara State at large.
He also appreciate the exceptional and visionary Governor of Kwara State Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON, for identifying and appointing a leader who embodies the values, traditions, and aspirations of the people.
Arowona added that, “Your ability to put a round peg in a round hole demonstrates your commitment to the growth and well-being of Kwara State”, he said.
Responding, the monarch, who appreciated the the Shettima for visiting, also thanked God, the Executive Governor of Kwara, the Emir of Ilorin and the entire members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council for their unwavering dedication and transparent service to the state, which produced him as the new Oloro of Oro.
