The crew of a Su-30SM was protecting bomber and fighter aircraft and helicopters

The crew of a Su-30SM multirole fighter aircraft belonging to the Russian Aerospace Forces, which was protecting bomber and fighter aircraft and helicopters, spotted and took out an aircraft of the Ukrainian armed forces, the Russian Defense Ministry wrote on its Telegram channel on Saturday.

“The personnel mastered patrolling of an assigned area and monitoring the activities of bomber and attack aircraft as well as army aviation during airstrikes against military infrastructure and hardware of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the post says. “During the sortie, Su-30SM pilots detected and neutralized” an aircraft belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces.
