Russia will respond to all caddish or illegal steps taken by Western nations, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Sunday.

“They will not be left unanswered: such steps, caddish and even illegal from the point of view of both international law and their domestic laws or our bilateral relations. Naturally, we will respond to all of them,” she said in an interview with the Voskresny Vecher (Sunday Evening) with Vladimir Solovyov program on the Rossiya-1 television channel.

According to Zakharova, responses to Western countries in a number of spheres have already been given. “Some are being looked at by the Investigative Committee: concerning monuments (demolishing and desecration of monuments to Soviet soldiers – TASS), and concerning what is being done in respect to our compatriots,” she said.

“As for the political relations with Poland, a really serious analysis of how to build relations with the current leaders of this country is needed indeed. No one should think that the situation can stay at its current level. No way,” she stressed.

She also said that other jobs are offered to diplomats expelled from the European Union. “The entire system of personnel administration is being revised. Asian and CIS directions will be reinforced,” she added.
