Richard Akinola throws weight behind Fubara, Deputy, says ‘your four years are sure”

*As Hon Ariyo says 'No magic will make Tinubu win re-election'

Despite the many calls on the President to sack Wike as the only antidote to the crisis, Tinubu continues to look the other way, reason he would see how Nyesom Wike’s lawmakers are blocking the rule of law from taking place and would do like he did not see, it was gathered.

Veteran journalist and lawyer, Richard Akinola, has pushed a solidarity with and around the Governor of Rivers State, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, and his deputy.

Having comprehensively assessed the whole of the shenanigans going on as Nyesom Wike, whose eight-year tenure has since May 29, 2023 expired, unleashed his loyalists claiming they are doing legislature in Rivers State, Mr. Akinola concluded that nothing would happen to the governor despite the activated impeachment move against them.

The DEFENDER reports that all the frustrations of peace move by the governor and elders of the state done in implementation of the Supreme Court judgment despite its uncomfortable outcomes were a deliberate attempt to find excuse to Justice impeachment against the governor, although Fubara did not fall in the set trap.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is believed to be tactically behind the crisis in the state for the singular reason of his re-election in 2027 just lije he allegedly did to Kano, Kaduna and Lagos states.

President Tinubu had asked Fubara and Wine sign a peace accord even when the contents were unfavourable to both the governor and Rivers people, meaning that Fubara would go and withdraw his court suits against the 27 defected lawmakers and Wike was required to do same.

In the spirit of peace for his state and people, Governor Fubara went and withdrew his suits but Wike did not withdraw his, yet the President, who presided over of the peace accord signing,  saw the breaches by Wike but turned his eyes away.

Sadly, it was said, that singular implementation of the peace accord making Fubara to withdraw his suits was what the Supreme Court used against him in the apex court’s returning of the 27 lawmakers who defected, saying there is no evidence as the governor withdrew his suits against them.

That judgment of the Supreme Court has been described in certain quarters as failing to consider the public interest, which is against the international practice of social justice.

Watchers of the event are saying that Tinubu cannot be exonerated in the Rivers crisis because of the times he okayed during and after his first interventions that did no better than add fuel to the already kindled political fire that emanated from Wike’s struggle to impose himself in Governor Fubara not only as godfather but also as one to be handed the control of the state resources.

Although Wike continues to deny this allegation, the fact that he cannot tell how helping a man to become governor should lead to huge crisis remains question that he cannot escape, according to observers.

They say that for the mere fact that Wike is currently useful to Tinubu, the President is taking sides with him in the crisis that he knows is almost blowing off a state that is a major host community to economic cash cow of the nation, because of one man’s personal interest – 2027 politics.

Despite the many calls on the President to sack Wike as the only antidote to the crisis, Tinubu continues to look the other way, reason he would see how Nyesom Wike’s lawmakers are blocking the rule of law from taking place and would do like he did not see, it was gathered.

In his solidarity message posted on his Facebook social media page on Monday,  Mr. Richard Akinola, who is also the Director Media Rights Law in Nigeria, said:

“Nothing dey happen. Fubara and his deputy would finish their four-year tenure. Nothing wey Abuja Portable and his House of Assembly minions can do to stop it. ✅👌”

No magic will make Tinubu win re-election – Ariyo

In the meantime, in what looks like advising President Tinubu not to waste his time, Hon. Ariyo Felix Kayode, public affairs analyst, writer and politician, has told him what 2027 holds in wait for him.

He said, “Even if Tinubu made his wife the INEC chairman, he will loose a second term comeback.

“I’ve said this times without numbers, that President Tinubu will not return to power for a second term.

“The North scripted the 2023 winning formula/strategies for Tinubu.

“This time, the same North is saying OTP. one term President.

“The game is on, the CPC factions of the APC has pulled out of the party, the CPC is the largest factions of the APC and predominantly North,” he said in a post shared by Kae Sam-Ngbor for a social media discussion.
