Recession: Fashola calls on professionals to come to rescue

Construction professionals have been called upon to use their expertise to assist government in moving Nigeria out of the present economic recession through efficient resource management, proper project costing and value for money.

This call was made over the weekend by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola at the induction ceremony for the newly registered quantity surveyors and practising firms held in Abuja.

Fashola said that the government was determined to exit the current economic recession through heavy spending and investment in capital projects and infrastructure such as roads, bridges and housing.
