The Kremlin has reacted negatively to the decision of Ukraine’s security service SBU to put senior Russian officials on the wanted list, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media on Tuesday.

“We perceived it negatively,” Peskov said, when asked about the Kremlin’s reaction to the SBU’s decision to put a number of senior Russian officials on the wanted list.

Earlier, the SBU put on the wanted list a number of senior Russian officials, including Deputy Head of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and Presidential Representative in the Central Federal District Igor Shchyogolev.

The other officials on the wanted list are the head of the National Guard Viktor Zolotov, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, Director of the foreign intelligence service SVR Sergey Naryshkin, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova and Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov.

The SBU charged most members of the Russian Security Council under Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (infringement on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine).
