Qatari Prime Minister says Netanyahu unfit to lecture on justice, declares he is one to be brought to justice
Speaking on the matter, Sheikh Mohammed said, “Netanyahu should not lecture the world on who should be brought to justice. He is the one who should be brought to justice.”
Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he should not be lecturing the international community on issues of justice and accountability.
Speaking on the matter, Sheikh Mohammed said, “Netanyahu should not lecture the world on who should be brought to justice. He is the one who should be brought to justice.”
The remarks reflect Qatar’s continued criticism of Israel’s conduct in the ongoing conflict in Gaza and underscore Doha’s position that those responsible for alleged violations of international law should be held accountable. Qatar has repeatedly called for adherence to international humanitarian law and has played a key role in mediation efforts aimed at securing ceasefires and facilitating the release of hostages and detainees.
Netanyahu has consistently rejected allegations of wrongdoing against Israel’s government and military, maintaining that Israel’s operations are conducted in self-defense following the October 7, 2023, attacks by Hamas. Israel has also challenged international legal proceedings and criticism directed at its leadership.
Sheikh Mohammed’s comments add to growing international debate over accountability, as diplomatic tensions continue over the war and efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire.
