Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved new appointments as he begins the build up to his cabinet.

The DEFENDER reports that the appointments were coming five days after his inauguration of May 29, 2023.

The appointments by Tinubu, on Friday, laid to rest speculations of many weeks as Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, is finally unveiled as the new Chief of Staff to the President, while Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, a former Jigawa State Deputy Governor, is the Deputy Chief of Staff.

Their appointments were made known in a statement signed by Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information, Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, State House Abuja.

The senior Presidency official said that the president also appointed Mr. George Akume, the former Governor of Benue, as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
