President Buhari mourns Ahmadu Yaro, commiserates with Family of Salisu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed condolences to the Yaro family on the passing of businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Ahmadu Yaro.

The President also extends commiserations to former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Salisu Buhari on the death of his father, Alhaji Salisu Buhari Daura.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, disclosed these in a statement he issued in Abuja on Wednesday with copy made available to The DEFENDER.

“President Buhari recalls that one of the abiding passions of late Ahmadu Yaro, was his zeal and dedication to entrepreneurship, extending proceeds of his business fortunes to numerous community development initiatives.

“As a very successful businessman who spent most of his years in the commercial city of Lagos, the President affirms that Alhaji Yaro was an embodiment of a true Nigerian, committed to advancing the peaceful co-existence of all, promoting prosperity and stability across regions.  

“While commiserating with the government and people of Jigawa State, the business community in the country on the passing of the elder statesman and humanitarian, President Buhari prays Allah to comfort the bereaved family, friends and associates, and grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.

“Condoling the Salisu Buhari family as well as the government and people of Kano State on the death of their patriarch and prominent businessman, the President eulogised his numerous contributions to the economic development and prosperity of the State and the country.

“President Buhari encourages all who mourn Alhaji Daura, who was a respected community leader and ardent believer in the Nigeria project,  to emulate the legacy of building a better country for everyone,” Shehu said.
