It said IPOB rejected peaceful dialogue with the Federal Government and, therefore, is a terrorists organization because it equally carved out a territory within Nigeria for its members.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that it has analysed the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and has seen that the group fits to the classification of a terrorist organisation.
It said it arrived at the conclusion especially after establishing that IPOB printed passports, currency and was taxing innocent people.
It said IPOB rejected peaceful dialogue with the Federal Government and, therefore, is a terrorists organization because it equally carved out a territory within Nigeria for its members.
The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, gave the statement while playing guest to Channels TV programme on Thursday.
Shehu also said that the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration had been the fairest so far in Nigeria.
