The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday, revealed among other plans that he will privatise the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and that he will not enrich his family but that he will surely enrich his friends.
This he said while addressing the business community in Lagos at an event themed “Getting Nigeria’s Economy Working: A Pragmatic Approach”, even as the February 2019 presidential election draws closer.
In emphasizing his plan to privatise sell the NNPC, Atiku vowed saying, “I am committed to privatizing NNPC, I said it.”
But Nigerians have taken to the social media and made themselves clear as to where they stand on the Atiku’s plan and why whether or not, by that plan and his avowed commitment to it, he deserves to get their votes come Saturday 16 February, 2019. These reactions were as reported by Channels Television website on Thursday, which it was noted that 261 were talking about it.

Since 1977 till date, NNPC has relied heavily on government funding despite making money on its own. NNPC has become a conduit pipe for siphoning Nigeria’s money through oil contracts to fund elitist avarice and greed.
