Osolo of Isolo mourns ‘iconic passage of Isolo Prince’, Kasumu Adefaka, at 104

“We celebrate the life of Alhaji not only as a Prince in Isolo but also as a remarkable contributor to the peaceful coexistence of religions in Isolo land.”

The Osolo of Isolo, Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole, has described the demise of Isolo Prince’ and former banker, Alhaji Kasumu Yesufu Adefaka, as “iconic passage”.

The monarch, who spoke through a condolence message signed by Special Assistant on Media and Administration, Comr Ayomide Michael, said, “At the ripe age of 104 years, the passage of Prince Adefaka is indeed iconic because passing at that age is not common.”

In the message circulated to the media was titled, “THE DEMISE OF PRINCE ADEFAKA AT 104, AN ICONIC PASSAGE OF ISOLO PRINCE”.

It said, “The news of the passage of Prince Yesufu Adefaka was indeed absolute submission to the will of almighty Allah. Prince Adefaka was a father figure in the entire Isolo kingdom.

“His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole, Akesoogun Orisa Obaluaye Mosu, Osalade II, Osolo of Isolo Kingdom, Akure South Local Government of Ondo State, Osolo in Council and the entire Isolo land celebrate the life of Alhaji Prince Yesufu Adefaka.

“At the ripe age of 104 years, the passage of Prince Adefaka is indeed iconic because passing at that age is not common.

“We celebrate the life of Alhaji not only as a Prince in Isolo but also as a remarkable contributor to the peaceful coexistence of religions in Isolo land.

“It is pertinent to sympathize with the immediate family of Prince Adefaka especially Prince Bashir Adefaka, Muslim community and the entire Isolo for the transition of baba to the great beyond.

“May Almighty Allah be with the family and grant them divine comfort,” the Osolo said.
