The eldest of Amuda Bashiri children, in the Sanni-Ere sub-family of the Abibiri ruling house, had been buried according to Islamic rites.

Oba Adewole, who returned from United States to succeed late Oba Kayode Oluwatuyi of Abibiri lineage as the Osolo, expressed his condolences in an electronic message to Publisher of The DEFENDER Newspaper, Prince Bashir Adefaka, in Lagos yesterday.

The media organisation had broken the news of Taibat’s demise on Saturday, noting that she was a key member of the Abibiri Ruling House in the Ondo State community.

“Good evening prince…I’m deeply sorry for the death of the princess….may her gentle soul rest in perfect Peace…my condolences to all the family,” Oba Edward Adewole said in the e-message that he followed up with a phone call.

In the close to 10 minutes telephone conversation, the monarch regarded as natural father of the entire ruling houses as sitting Oba, said: “Please help me tell the entire members of the deceased’s family that I share their pains at this time and pray that her soul will rest in perfect peace.”
