Ooni of Ife inaugurated Grand Patron, Fellow OSHAssociation UK – Nigeria Region

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has been inaugurated as Grand Patron and Fellow of the Occupational Safety and Health Association, UK – Nigeria Region.

These honours by the body abreviatedly pronounced as OSHAssociation were conferred on the Yoruba leading monarch at his palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State, South West Nigeria, during a major event last weekend.

Responding, the Ooni expressed his unreserved appreciation to the association for finding him worthy of becoming its grand patron and other awards bestowed on him and promised his support on anything that it has to do as far as safety and health are concerned.

Specifically Oba Ogunwusi said, “Count on me to support OSHASociation in promoting safety in Nigeria.”

In his remarks, the Regional President of OSHAssoviation, HRM Amb. Olusegun Aderemi, JP, described the association as one of the bodies involved in safety and health promotion globally.

He said it had worked with over 50 government institutions and agencies in practices as regards occupational safety and health in Nigeria.

“It’s a strong call for partnership and synergy with concerned government institutions and agencies to support the OSHAssociation Uk and worldwide.

“It is my honour and humble pleasure to introduce you (Ooni) today to national safety and health project (NSHP).

“Baba, as we have known you as cheer giver of safety and philanthropy, it is our plan to revive the health, safety, security and environmental status of Nigeria before the international community.”
