The Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly Wordwide, has congratulated the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, on the occasion of his one year in office.

Uzodinma, All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate in the April 11, 2019 general elections, ascended to the office of governor via a Supreme Court judgement, which sacked Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in March 2020.

While acknowledging the Imo State Governor as one of illustrious sons and respected leaders of Igbo Land of Nigeria, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo also took the time out urging him to stop his political war against Chief Rochas Okorocha, adding that, as successful former governor and respected sitting Senator, Owelle Okorocha does not deserve the treatment Uzodinma meted to him in the name of politicking.

The group, which is the only group recognised by law to speak and chart the way to unity and development for the Igbo people worldwide, expressed dismay that Governor Hope Uzodinma would take responsibility for the bombing of his own people in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.

It will be recalled that the Imo governor recently publicly acknowledged that he was the one who invited the Air Force to bomb the zone.

In a statement issued President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly Wordwide, Barr. Basil Onyeachonam Onuorah, the governor’s aknowleged bombing of Orlu was said to be condemnable.
