#ONDODECIDES: Updates see Akeredolu still leading after 14 LGAs results so far announced

The keenly contested Ondo State governorship election of October 10, 2020 is taking clearer shape with the outcome still favouring the incumbent Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), who is candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the election.

The DEFENDER reported earlier that as 2.00am Sunday, the governor was leading according to results from nine of 12 Local Government Areas released.

Akeredolu currently, in our updates, is leading with 53,380 votes in 14 LGAs so far released by INEC.

The incumbent has scored 213,251votes in 14 councils while Eyitayo Jegede polled 159,871 votes. The deputy governor and candidate of the Zenith Labour Party, Hon Agboola Ajayi got 44,175 votes.

Councils yet to be announced by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) include that of  Ondo West, Odigbo, Ilaje and Ese Odo.
