The Osolo of Isolo, Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, His Royal Highness Oba Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole, Osalade II, has congratulated Christians in Isolo, Ondo State, Nigeria and all over the world on the celebration of Christmas this year.
This was coming in a Christmas Message that is his first statement since he assumed duty in the Isolo palace following presentation of Instrument of Appointment and Staff of Office to him by the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN).
According to the statement signed by Special Assistant to the Osolo of Isolo on Media and Administration, Comrade Ayomide Michael, dated Sunday December 25, 2022 and copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER, the king also greeted Governor Akeredolu while commending him on his administration’s efforts leading to peace across the Ondo State.
The monarch, who also wished the Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Pastor Gbenga Olaniyi well at Christmas, promised the continued support of his kingdom for the state government as well as the council administration, adding that “Nigeria will be great.”
The statement read, “His Royal Highness Oba Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole, Osalade II, the Osolo of Isolo, Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, joins Christians across Nigeria and around the world as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ today Sunday 25th December 2022.
“Christmas celebration is an annual event observed by Christians to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ- the reason for their belief. To this end, the Osolo of Isolo congratulates and celebrates with all the celebrating Christians in Isolo Kingdom, Ondo State, Nigeria and across the world for the celebration of year 2022 Christmas festival.
“The monarch appreciates God for sparing the faithful to witness this year’s celebration, while admonishing all Christian faithful to imbibe and exhibit the qualities of Jesus Christ, whose birthday they celebrate. Oba Adejoyegbe Adewole advises the faithful to show love, kindness and ensure moderacy as they celebrate.
“He urged the celebrating Christians to shun every act of lawlessness and unlawful activities that can cause disorder or provoke social unrest.
“Osolo releases his royal blessings on all Christians across the universe that Almighty God through Jesus Christ whose birth is celebrated every December 25th shall bless, protect and preserve them to celebrate many Christmas on Earth in sound health and riches.
“To the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN. CON. and his Administration, Oba Adewole commends the efforts leading to peace across the state and promise continued support of his kingdom for the state government as well as the Akure South Government under the administration of Hon. Barr. Gbenga Olaniyi.
“Happy Christmas and prosperous New year!” The Oba Adewole said in the Comrade Ayomide Micheal’s statement.
